About RavanNama
RavanNama is a non-profit society dedicated to fostering the exploration of expanded states of consciousness, including the use of psychedelics and other catalysts, among Persian speakers. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive space for studying, discussing, and applying these practices to heal both individual and collective traumas.
Throughout history, psychedelics have played a significant role in human existence, offering physical and mental healing and serving as tools for understanding the complexities of the mind. With the emergence of the global psychedelic movement, there is newfound hope for healing, awakening, reconciling, and safeguarding our ecosystem. Persian-speaking communities, having endured numerous hardships and traumas across generations, have a unique opportunity to join this movement and draw upon their ancient roots and wisdom to contribute to collective healing.
RavanNama society acts as a bridge, connecting Persian-speaking and non-Persian-speaking researchers and psychonauts who share an interest in the study and application of psychedelics. Our primary objective is to empower Persian-speaking individuals worldwide, fostering a sense of solidarity and providing them with the tools to access their inner healing capacities.
We are dedicated to dispelling negative, unscientific, and false beliefs surrounding psychedelics, while also addressing the knowledge gap that exists within Persian-speaking communities regarding their proper and scientific use. We firmly believe that education on safe and ethical practices, as well as harm reduction, is crucial in preventing irresponsible use of psychedelics. To this end, we are committed to raising awareness and ensuring universal access to evidence-based psychedelic-assisted therapies and integration practices.
Additionally, we strive to establish research platforms and facilities focused on expanded states of consciousness, the application of psychedelics, ethical considerations in this field, and transpersonal psychology. Training therapists through various means, such as publishing articles and books, organizing training courses, and conferences, is an integral part of our agenda.
At RavanNama, we view the Persian language as a means of communication among our members. The foundation of our society is rooted in principles such as integrity, inclusivity, diversity, and equity. We are proud to collaborate with individuals from all walks of life, embracing their unique identities, beliefs, languages, races, and cultures. By nurturing understanding and honoring differences, we strive to create unity and harmony within our community.
